    9

Artificial Grass Joins & Seam Visibility

Artificial grass installations may require multiple sections of turf to be joined together. The Customer acknowledges and accepts that:

    9.1 Nature of Joins

    • Joins (seams) are a necessary and unavoidable part of artificial grass installations.
    • While Imperial Grass Limited will take all reasonable steps to minimise their appearance, joins are not guaranteed to be invisible under any circumstances.

    9.2 Factors Affecting Visibility

The visibility of joins may vary depending on factors outside of our control, including but not limited to:

    • Lighting conditions
    • Weather conditions (including rain, moisture, and sunlight)
    • Pile direction and material characteristics
    • Viewing angle and usage

    9.3 Not a Defect

    • The presence of visible joins, seams, shading differences, or slight variations in appearance shall not be considered a defect, fault, or poor workmanship.

    9.4 Customer Agreement

By proceeding with the installation, the Customer expressly agrees that:

    • Visible joins do not constitute grounds for rejection of the installation.
    • Visible joins do not entitle the Customer to a refund, replacement, or compensation.
    • Imperial Grass Limited shall not be held liable for any claims, losses, disputes, or legal action arising solely from the visibility of joins where the installation has been completed in accordance with industry standards.
    10

Use of Multiple Sections and Roll Widths

Artificial grass is supplied in standard roll widths. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that:

    10.1 Layout & Joins

    • Imperial Grass Limited reserves the right to install the artificial grass using as many sections and joins as deemed necessary to complete the installation to a professional and practical standard.
    • The layout, positioning, and number of joins will be determined solely by Imperial Grass Limited based on the dimensions and shape of the area, material optimisation, installation practicality, and industry standards.

    10.2 Standard Roll Widths

The Customer understands that standard artificial grass rolls are typically supplied in widths of approximately 4 metres, and therefore:

    • Any area exceeding this width will normally require one or more joins.
    • Joins are a natural and unavoidable part of installations in such cases.

    10.3 Wider Rolls

In some cases, wider rolls (e.g. 5 metres) may be available only by special order, subject to:

    • Prior written agreement before booking.
    • Additional cost.
    • Availability from suppliers.

    10.4 Written Requests

    • If the Customer requires installation with reduced or no joins, this must be clearly requested in writing before the work is booked and confirmed and agreed by Imperial Grass Limited.
    • Failure to request this in advance shall be taken as full acceptance of the use of multiple sections and joins as part of the installation.

    10.5 Not a Defect

    • The number or placement of joins shall not be considered a defect, fault, or grounds for complaint, provided the installation meets industry standards.
    11

    Natural Timber and Wooden Products

Timber sleepers, decking, fencing and other wooden products are natural materials. The Customer acknowledges and accepts that:

    11.1 Natural Characteristics

Wooden products may, due to moisture, sunlight, temperature changes, weather exposure and the natural drying process:

    • Expand or contract
    • Shrink, split or crack
    • Twist, bow or warp
    • Fade or otherwise change in appearance and dimensions

    11.2 Not a Defect

    • These natural characteristics shall not be treated as defects in materials or workmanship and are not covered by the Company's warranty.

    11.3 Ground & Environmental Factors

    • The Company is not responsible for movement caused or contributed to by soil conditions, subsidence, settlement, tree roots, vegetation, drainage, moisture variations or seasonal ground movement.
    12

    Client Responsibilities & Site Conduct

    12.1 Access & Delays

    • The Client must provide full access to the site for the duration of the works.
